Welcome To Cape Town

Here you will find some travel tips for your holiday destination: Cape Town

The most popular tourist attraction in Cape Town surely must be the Cape of Good Hope (where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet) and Table Mountain (which has recently been nominated as one of the new natural wonders of the world). Both locations offer stunning view of the Cape Town surroundings and are frequently visited by tourists and locals. Both of these attractions make for an amazing day: First driving to the Cape of Good Hope and coming back to Cape Town to take the cable car up Table Mountain to witness as the sun sets over the ocean.

The V&A Waterfront is another popular tourist attraction in Cape Town. This is a huge shopping centre near the harbour of Cape Town. Here you will find many gifts and souvenirs you can take back home to your friends and loved ones. There are also many Waterfront Cape Town Restaurants located here which all offer very high quality food and many different styles of cuisines. It is here at the V&A Waterfront that you will find many tour operators, tourism information centres and ferries making their way to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for many years.

Another area you must visit on your stay in Cape Town is Constantia. Constantia is regarded as the oldest wine area in Cape Town and it is here that the first wine farm or vineyard was constructed. It is also in this area that some of the best Constantia Restaurants are located. You must remember that you are only about 20 minutes away from the city centre of Cape Town, yet there is a vast difference in the surroundings. Constantia is know for one of the greenest and leafiest regions of Cape Town – making it a truly unique setting. You will also find numerous hiking trails and walks in Constantia. The Tokai forest is also popular among mountain bikers and nature lovers.

The Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens are also located near Constantia and Cape Town and is also well worth the visit. You can spend the entire day here exploring every corner of this beautiful and huge garden. You can bring along your picnic basket for brunch or order something at the restaurant near the entrance. You will find many different animal species here as well that make the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden their home. There are also many benches scattered around in the garden should you feel the need to take a rest. You will do a lot of walking!

There are many more attractions in Cape Town, but these come highly recommended. For more information visit one of the many Tourist information centres located all over Cape Town for more travel tips and tourist attractions.
