Everywhere you go when you are trying to make your travel plans is offering cheap hotel rates. Have you ever compared them to the actual rates at the hotel? Sometimes you will find these websites are the same or even more expensive. Now what would be the point of booking with a third party, as opposed to the hotel, if you were not saving money. Here is how to find real cheap hotel rates without spending hours looking for them.
When you land on a website the first thing you want to make sure that they do is match lower prices. The reason you want them to match lower prices, is first in case you find one, and second this means that the website is setting their own prices, which means they are offering discounted hotel rates.
When you get to these websites the next thing you want to look for is if you are prepaying for the reservation. If you are not then the rate is not discounted, it is a hotel rate. The reason is because these websites also prepay so they require their customers to prepay. If you don’t want to prepay you are stuck booking the hotel’s rate, and if you are doing that I say go right to the source, don’t pay some booking fee for something you can get at the hotel.
If you want to compare prices between sites, scratch the theroy of comparing nightly rates. This really is not relevant. The reason is because there are so many different taxes, booking fees, resort fees, hotel charges, etc that are charged that nightly rates really mean nothing. You want to go through like you are booking and compare the complete reservation totals to eachother.
