Turkey is one of the most marvelous countries to visit on holiday. Located on the border of the continents of Europe and Asia, this amazing Eurasian locale offers everything you need from a getaway vacation. In this article we will talk about some of the fantastic places to visit and the stunning sights to see during your upcoming stay.

A proper holiday begins with a great hotel, and in this regard Turkey certainly delivers. In Turkey you’ll find a variety of hotel options for whatever it is you’re looking for, including hotels which offer all-inclusive packages. One such hotel is the Barut Hotel Lara Spa, located conveniently on the Turkish Mediterranean coast. Besides the world class dining and shopping in the area, there are plenty of things to do at the hotel itself. Spend your day lounging beside one of the two crystal blue swimming pools or make your way to the private beach area to bask in the Mediterranean sun. If action is more your game, take advantage of the two health club facilities and the pool table located right on the premises. At night, the Barut Hotel Lara Spa features wonderful dining, cocktail service and a top-notch nightclub for partying the night away.

Once you’ve enjoyed all your hotel has to offer, perhaps you’d like to visit some of the amazing sights located just a touch off the beaten path. The ruins of Aperlae, for example, located about 1 kilometer west of the Kekova Gulf, features ruins dating all the way back to the 5th century. Now a popular tourist spot, Aperlae offers dining, cocktails and shopping just miles away, allowing you to sit back and relax after trekking through these ancient wonders.

Once you’ve finished a full day of sightseeing, it’s time to experience the wonderful food and nightlife this country has to offer. In Turkey there are thousands of restaurants for whatever you’re in the mood for, including European and Asian delicacies fit for a king. You’ll also find tiny, out of the way pubs for relaxing with friends, and raucous nightclubs featuring both Turkish and alternate styles of music. When the sun goes down in Turkey, the party is just beginning.

Don’t you deserve the very best for your vacation this year? There are so many reasons to holiday in Turkey that it’s impossible to list them all. Landmarks, all-inclusive hotels and fabulous nightlife don’t begin to tell the whole story about the variety of activities Turkey has to offer. One thing’s for sure though: Once you visit this beautiful land, you may never want to go back.

Now Try – Cheap Holidays To Turkey

Tunisia, in northeastern Africa is a beautiful country to visit: a country of spices and flowers, ancient history, friendliness, wonderful hotels, restaurants and first class airports.

Tunisia has a mild and scenic coastline and a perfect climate. The Mediterranean makes up its northern, and part of its eastern border. Libya is also to the east and south, and Algeria is to the west. In the over 3000 years of its existence, this country has seen many civilizations pass through and leave their marks: the Phoenicians, Romans, Vandals, Byzantines, Turks, Spanish and French. Today’s Tunisian culture is a mosaic of all of these cultures that have gone before.

Tunisia’s long and colorful history is preserved in the many hundreds of historical sites and museums that dot the country. The enormous National Museum of Bardo (near Tunis) was a 13th century palace and has been expanded over time so that it’s now a an amazing example of 17th and 18th century Arab architecture and interior décor. It boasts vaulted ceilings, galleries and cupolas. It also houses the finest collection of mosaics in the world! he Carthage Museum is known for its extensive collection of Punic and Roman everyday artifacts. However, it would be a shame to miss its large jewelry collection and its very unusual collection of Punic masks that were fabricated of a paste made of colored glass.

The Dar Ben Abdallah Museum of Traditional Arts and Customs, in Tunis, is housed on the bottom floor of the 18th century palace of the same name. It is the center of the old city of Tunis, the medina. This museum offers traditional Tunisian arts and exhibits traditional customs of the city of Tunis in a traditional setting. Keep in mind that most museums in Tunisia are closed on Mondays. Tunisia is a land of festivals. Every city and village, no matter how large or small, hosts festivals to which visitors are welcome. The Saharian Festival celebrates the vast expanses of the Sahara. It is in Douz and occurs during the second week of November. If you are a devotee of world class music, don’t miss the International Music Festival at the El Jem Coliseum from mid-July to mid-August. What could be lovelier than listening to world famous orchestras and artists on a warm Tunisian evening under the stars in a Roman coliseum?

The most important component of Tunisian family cuisine is its breads! Country breads, found in smaller villages, are usually unleavened and baked in domed, clay ovens called tabounas. Bread is a staple at every Tunisian meal and everyplace in Tunisia has its own special breads. Lamb is the Tunisian’s meat of choice. Due to its long coastline, there is also a plethora of seafood and olive oil, salads and all sorts of herbs and spices including cumin, coriander, garlic, parsley, and dried peppers enhance the flavor of Tunisian food. Tunisians love hot and spicy food but often serve their signature spicy condiment, Harissa, as a side dish for tourists who aren’t up to the hot food. Don’t pass up dessert. Turkish Baklava, a confection made of layers of crispy pastry, ground nuts and cinnamon and soaked in honey syrup is too good to miss.

Visit Tunisia for its arts, culture, history, food and for a fabulous holiday!

Now Try – Tunisia Holidays

Turkey is a wonderful place for a holiday! It is a Eurasian country, straddling both Asia and Europe. It is a country that easily blends antiquity with modernity. Natural sites battle with the thrill of modern cities for the tourist’s attention. As one of the cradles of world civilization, Turkey is filled with ancient history and archaeological sites. It also offers a great nightlife and world-class restaurants as well as outdoor fun including yachting, paragliding, diving and ballooning. The coastline of Turkey is 6,500 km long. Turkey is bordered by sea on three sides!

At the crossroads of Europe and Asia, Turkey is a country of many cultural influences. Thirteen different civilizations have settled Turkey since ancient times. Turkey is an interesting mix of all of these cultures and the contrasts between modern civilization and the civilizations of antiquity. Turkey is the place to enjoy a unique blend of Eastern and Western culture.

Although Turkey is beautiful all year, the best months to visit are April through October. If tourists on holiday can pull themselves away from the beautiful beaches they will find that the cuisine of this country is truly sumptuous. A meze style meal of tiny plates, served with some of Turkey’s distinctive red and white wines, must be followed by some of this country’s irresistible sweets. The food of Turkey is so diverse that one almost has to come to the country to try the culinary delights that it offers.

Turkey is also one of the birthplaces of the Christian religion. While tourists enjoy seeing the mosques of Turkey, they can also walk in the footsteps of one of the Catholic Church’s most famous saints, St. Paul. He was born in the Turkish city of Tarsus and preached throughout Turkey. Each one of Turkey’s many regions offers museums and historical sites for visitors on holiday. In the area of the Aegean you can visit the Archaeological Museum near Konak Square. Its statues of Poseidon and Demeter once stood in the Agora. In Gaziantep, in southeastern Turkey, you might spend an afternoon at the Archaeology Museum that is home to artifacts from Neolithic, Hittite and Roman times.

Visit Turkey to enjoy the sights and sounds and tastes of this ancient country straddling two continents and thousands of years of cultural heritage!

Now Try – Turkey Holidays

Brighton England is the summer place to be in the UK, and all other seasons as well! Take a walk along Brighton’s lovely beaches, jump into some water sports or spend some time at the Royal Pavilion.

The biggest allure of Brighton is, of course, its legendary beach. It has been voted one of the Top 10 city beach break destinations in the world. Brighton Pier is in the background so that the sun and fun of the beach meld seamlessly with the fun of Brighton’s funky beachside clubs. Relax on the pebble beach, take a stroll along the strand, have a bite to eat in one of the many cafes and bars or join in some water sports or go sailing. After dark, you’ll be able to partake in the action of some of the best night clubs in the UK.

The Royal Pavilion is the jewel in the crown of Brighton’s many attractions. Built by the architect John Nash in the early nineteenth century, it was the “Palace by the Sea” of the Prince Regent, George IV. Today it is still one of the most beautiful as well as exotic structures in all of the UK. The furniture and art is magnificent and includes many historical pieces lent to the Royal Pavilion by The Queen. Visit the tearoom that overlooks the reconstructed gardens of the Palace and the Palace Shop.

Right beside of Brighton beach you will find acres and acres of cool, green, inviting spaces within the towns of Brighton and Hove. A must visit is the historic Kipling Gardens in Rottingdean. Rudyard Kipling lived at The Elms from 1897-1902 – the site of these famous gardens. Visit the herb garden and the croquet lawn and bring a picnic to eat in the “wild garden”.

There are 14,000 acres of countryside in and around Brighton. In fact, the area has been awarded National Park status in recognition of the natural beauty of the South Downs. There are walks and trails, bicycling, all sorts of plants and wildlife – a place of unequaled beauty to be enjoyed by visitors and locals alike.

If you’re visiting the UK, remember that Brighton is one of its most exciting towns. And many of the activities of Brighton are year round so don’t think it’s only a summer place. Look into spending your next holiday in and around Brighton. You won’t be disappointed!

Now Try – Brighton Hotels

Spain has become the must-see destination for over 50 million visitors every year, who come to this sun-blessed country to enjoy the amazing culture and ancient heritage as well as the great weather. Whether your tastes are more in tune with the fine art of Picasso or the flavors of a good Paella, Spain has something for everyone. Spain has opened several new airports in recent years, making it much easier to reach parts of the country that were once visited only by the hardiest of travelers. While this may make it more convenient to reach all the great sites, it has also made it more difficult to decide where to go.

Barcelona is a great place to start your travels. This beautiful city, founded in Roman times, rests on the Mediterranean Sea. For architecture enthusiasts, there are a variety of impressive sights, including Gaudi’s Sagrada Familia and the Gothic Cathedral of Santa Eulalia. Whether you are looking for exciting festivities or a relaxing day at the beach, Barcelona has it. For anyone with a long weekend to spare, Barcelona offers a variety of attractions, restaurants, and shopping.

Just a short distance from Barcelona sits the city of Alicante – a beach lover’s dream. The aged narrow streets are perfect for a curious stroll after a day out on one of the beautiful beaches. It is no wonder this city is one of the most preferred destination spots in the country. If you are looking for a more relaxing experience, the old pirates’ hangout of Tabarca is a short boat trip away. By train, vacationers can see one of the largest palm groves on Earth – the Palmeral of Elche, which also happens to be a World Heritage Site.

To the south, you can find Murcia. This is the best place to visit if you want a little bit of everything. Murcia boasts mountain regions, a fantastic cityscape, a fabulous Costa Blancan coastline and a wonderful night life. Murcia also has a great surrounding area which can be visited. This includes Mar Menor which boasts an awesome lagoon and some of the absolute finest sunsets that can be seen in the entire world.

If you are looking for a sunny spot, the coastal city of Almeria is one of your best bests. With an average of 330 days of sunshine each year, it is known as one of the warmest, driest areas in Europe. Here you will find the Tabernas desert, which is sure to please the movie buff; it has been the scene of many Hollywood westerns. Others will find delight at Alcazaba, the Moorish castle, which is loaded with history of the region. The Cabo de Gata-Nijar Natural Park is home to Spain’s premier diving areas, on top of hosting its truly brilliant geological features.

Malaga is one of the most popular cities with tourists, thanks to its location near the Costa del Sol. There are several ways to reach this busy town, and plenty to keep you occupied. Take a stroll through the Picasso museum, jump from an airplane with your fellow skydivers, or soak up the sights and sounds of a real Spanish bull-fight. That Malaga is as popular with Spaniards as it is with foreign tourists is testament to the fact that it is an un-missable destination.

Greece has long been a favorite holiday destination for people from around the world to visit. In fact, over 15 million people choose Greece as their holiday destination every single year. Greece has many different things to offer the vacationer, from wonderful villages, to fantastic shopping and pristine beaches; Greece has it all. Usually, the Greek islands are where most people frequent, but the mainland of Greece is also a great place to visit too. You could visit Athens, Crete, Corfu, Rhodes and Thessaloniki.

One reason that makes Greece an ideal holiday destination is its climate. Greece has very long summers and short winters. Between the months of April and November, you will find Greece to be hot and dry, but not so much that you can not enjoy the outdoors. Greece does see rain during this season, but it comes and goes so quickly that you will enjoy the chance to cool down. From the middle of July to the middle of August, you might find Greece a little unbearable since this is the typically the warmest time of the year. During the months of May and June, as well as, September and October you will find Greece at its finest. It is not too hot and not too humid. These are the best months to visit.

If you are planning a holiday destination to Greece then you will want to travel between the months of April and October. Most of the vacationers begin to arrive in April and it usually hits its zenith in the month of July. If you decide to travel at any other time, you may find that accommodations are not as plentiful since the other times of the year most places are closed down. The cities of Athens and Thessaloniki are the main hubs of international transportation, but there are many cities on the islands which handle chartered flights during the major portion of the holiday season.

When you do find accommodations in Greece do not be surprised at the simplicity. Most rooms will be small and they should have air conditioning. Generally, there is a balcony overlooking a plaza so you can continue to enjoy all the Greek ambiance. Most hotel accommodations are very clean and well taken care of. You can find more expensive hotel accommodations in the main cities, but honestly, you are not getting anything more than what you would pay for at a smaller hotel or inn, and you miss out on all the atmosphere. You can easily get a hotel room online, via email or by using your telephone and fax. There are also many different companies that you can go through that will help you plan your Greek holiday getaway.

Do not expect a lot of shopping while in Greek. But there are local vendors who carrying unusual and high quality products native to Greece. Look for lace, jewelry, pottery, rugs, leather goods, wines, metalwork, and knitwear. Handicrafts are made by local artisans. Many people eat out in Greece. There are a number of restaurants to try. Highly populated tourist spots will have excellent Greek eateries and restaurants. Most Greeks speak English so do not worry if you can not speak Greek. You will have no difficult getting around or ordering something to eat in Greece.

Majorca, the biggest island of the Balearic archipelago in the Mediterranean sea, has become an increasingly popular tourist destination in the past forty years. The English and Germans are mainly responsible for creating the island’s growth as a tourist spot. With the hot summers and wild winters typical of the Mediterranean, there is a variety of accommodation, restaurants, and bars to make your stay a welcomed retreat on the island (which is sometimes also spelled Mallorca from the Catalan and Spanish influence).

If you fly into Majorca, you will more than likely travel into its capital city Palma, where the Son Saint Joan Airport is located. The actual airport is about 8 kilometers outside of Palma, but it is close enough. Another nice boon, is that when you fly from England, the flight is less than 3 hours. You will hear Spanish and Castilian spoken on the island frequently, but have no worries, because many people speak English there now.

The North and Western sections of the island are mountainous and rural. You will find peaceful, undisturbed villages. The Eastern section of the island is filled with gorgeous beaches and stunning caves. The Southern region is accustomed to tourists. You can find resorts and hotels catering to tourists and packages. The Northeast region is full of historical landmarks and sightseeing. When you travel to Majorca, be sure to allot enough time to see everything Majorca has for you. If you can only stay a week, then hire a car so you can get a good look at the beaches, villages, and mountains in beautiful Majorca.

Majorca is a place where people know how to love life. You will be able to find just about anything there to keep you busy. You can sunbathe along the pristine beaches, go shopping in the afternoon and visit the local nightclubs in the evening after an exceptional dinner. There are plenty of activities as well such as hiking, biking, golf, and many other outdoor activities which will keep you busy and let you enjoy the outdoors. You can also catch horse racing, cricket and football (soccer). Majorca is also famous for its many fiestas and carnivals that are held many times a year. So there is always something entertaining going on.

Majorca is an incredibly diverse island that has something to cater to anyone visiting. It boasts eleven official golf courses, while having an array of water activities for the sports enthusiast. If looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway, the northern portion of the island will probably suit your needs best. Here you will find quiet resorts situated in the mountainous terrain. Whereas, the southern portion of the island caters more to active and social visitors that are looking for a good time at the clubs and on the beach.

London is a city filled with rich history and places to explore. If you are going to be taking a trip to London, then you should consider staying in one of these areas…

The West End – This is London’s theater district, so you will be close to all the great shows as well as some of the best attractions, including the Globe Theater (home to Shakespeare in his day), Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery, Leicester Square and the London Zoo. London’s West End has always been a major tourist attraction so you will always be able to find accommodations that will fit within your price range and your comfort level. London’s West End is comprised of four major parts. This includes “The Strand” which is a street to the south, Oxford Street which runs to the north, Regent Street which runs to the west and Kingsway which runs to the east.

Bayswater / Paddington – Another popular spot for tourists is the Bayswater / Paddington area. Bayswater is comprised of mostly residential places and Paddington is a district right next to it. A lot of the hotels here are converted from older houses and can give a genuine homely atmosphere. The underground in the Bayswater area includes several connecting lines, so you will have quick and easy access to most of London, including the city centre. Speaking of tourist locations, the Notting Hill area of Bayswater received quite a lot of attention thanks to a movie of the same name starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant. Notting Hill is very posh. If you choose to stay there, you can easily traipse over to the Portobello Road Antique Market and find some great treasures. This is usually held every week on Saturday.

Kensington – The place to stay if you do not want to pay for the high cost of a hotel in the city centre, but still want access to all the sites. Considered a borough of London, this lovely location is filled with public gardens, parks and green spaces that are perfect for relaxing, while an impressive set of transportation hubs and links will carry you to any spot in the city. You will also be able to visit Kensington Palace, which was at one time, the home of the late Princess Diana. The atmosphere in the Kensington district is very cosmopolitan and exclusive, and you can experience this first hand if you choose to stay in a Kensington hotel. All of these locations are great if you really want to experience London at its finest.

Westminster – The historic seat of power, located in the center of London. Westminster is where the current governing body of England sits in the Palace of Westminster. The palace shares Westminster Square with the House of Commons, the House of Lords and the always popular Big Ben. Just a short distance away is the royal residence of Queen Elizabeth II, the stately Buckingham Palace. One of the amazing sight not to miss is the “Changing of the Guard”, every day just before noon, at Buckingham Palace’s main gate. You can also find Downing Street in this District. Westminster is very connected with the London subway known as the ‘tube’ and has many hotels that you could book a stay in!

If you want to have a relaxing stay when you go on vacation, even if just for a couple of days, then you should consider visiting Brighton, a city 50 miles south of London, on the south coast of England. It has maintained its popularity throughout the years and continues to be a great place to visit thanks to its wonderful shopping, awesome night clubs and fabulous restaurants. A visit to Brighton should include visits to the following places:

The Royal Pavilion – When you are in Brighton there are a few places you absolutely have to visit. The Royal Pavilion is one of those places. It is directly in the center of Brighton and was once a farmhouse. As the years went on, the Pavilion was completely redone and it became the place where the Prince Regent would stay when he was in Brighton. You can visit the place where King George the 4th rested his head but you will have to pay an entrance fee. One of the things you will definitely have to do is meander on over to the Brighton Museum, which is a stones throw from the Pavilion at the end of its gardens. It does not cost anything to visit and you can learn a lot about the local history.

The Palace Pier – Though a few piers had been built in Brighton, this 1899 Pier is the only one that remains. It was originally built to allow easy access for pleasure craft and to house amusement rides. Today, it is home to an array of tourist shops, nightclubs, restaurants, arcades, and even a modest fair. Though some view it as flashy and garish, it is well worth the time to explore the Palace Pier. Considering the cost is free and the promenade provides a view of the seashore, taking a stroll along the pier is an attraction not to pass up.

The Lanes – Another great place to visit while in Brighton is the Lanes. It is by far the best place to see when you are there. There are a ton of independently owned businesses along the Lanes and you can shop till you drop. There are clothing stores, jewelry shops and antiquities dealers. You could actually spend your entire trip in the Lanes and never get to see everything because there are so many streets, shops and hidden treasures to be found. The Lanes is the oldest area in Brighton so it would be a good idea to visit their chamber of commerce and visitor information center so you can learn about the area first.

The Beach – And last but not least, when you are in Brighton, you have to visit the beach! Brighton sits along the south coast of England and is infamous for not having sandy, pristine beaches. What it is known for is its pebbled beaches and its many bars and nightclubs that dot the beach line. It is a totally different atmosphere and a lot of fun. The beach is also a great place to catch a free movie, a free street performance or live music. It is a fun place to be and an even greater place to visit! You definitely have to make it a priority when you visit Brighton!

Now Try – Brighton Hotels
